Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fryer: Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items, specialising in frying techniques, to deliver high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and food service, with a focus on maintaining food safety standards and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of fried dishes according to recipes and quality standards
Operate deep fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying station and surrounding areas
Assist in meal preparation, including portioning ingredients and plating dishes
Monitor cooking times to ensure optimal texture and flavour of fried items
Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Follow all food safety protocols, including proper storage and handling of ingredients

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Knowledge of culinary techniques related to frying and meal preparation
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Previous experience working in a busy kitchen setting is desirable but not essential
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
Flexibility to work shifts during peak hours, including weekends if required
