Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Loading Shovel Operator to join our team based in Cardiff Docks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of mobile plant machinery.
Duties
- To liaise with in-coming delivery drivers with regards to when and where to tip, act as a Banks Man to reversing vehicles where appropriate.
- To load out any material collection lorries as directed
- To ensure on-site transport (in-coming and Out-going) lorries are directed and managed efficiently, effectively and limit on- site waiting and loading times.
- Ensure all lorries are checked for cleanliness after loading to ensure no loose material can spill onto site or the public highway.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Skills
- Experience operating plant machinery.
- Ability to complete daily maintenance check sheets in full as directed.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- in this role you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills
