Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Quarry Assistant to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within the quarrying industry. Duties
- Assisting with the preparation and organisation of quarry sites for extraction activities
- Supporting the safe operation of machinery under supervision
- Helping with the transportation and movement of materials around the site
- Conducting basic inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Assisting in site maintenance tasks such as cleaning, organising tools, and waste management
- Learning about health and safety procedures relevant to quarry operations
- Participating in training sessions to develop industry-specific knowledge and skills
Experience
- No prior experience necessary; full training will be provided
- A keen interest in construction, engineering, or related fields is desirable
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices is advantageous but not essential
- Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail are beneficial
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions are important qualities for this role

As contract crushers we move from site to site as the job requires. Any candidate must be willing to move between sites as needed.
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
