Full job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Stores Supervisor to support day-to-day warehouse and inventory operations within a busy production environment. The successful candidate will lead a small team, ensuring accurate stock control, safe working practices, and timely supply of materials to production.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and motivate the Stores team to achieve productivity and operational targets
Monitor performance, identify training needs, and support staff development
Oversee daily stock control, inventory accuracy, and system updates
Ensure all goods in/out transactions are completed accurately with correct documentation
Maintain stock availability to support production and prevent shortages or downtime
Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operational flow
Produce basic operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly) where required
Brief team leaders on priorities and operational issues
Ensure secure control of the stores area and proper issue of materials
Maintain housekeeping, organisation, and compliance with Health & Safety standards
Support planned maintenance of equipment and machinery
Ensure accurate stock locations, cycle counts, and kit preparation for production

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in a stores/warehouse role is essential, with some supervisory or team leader experience preferred.
Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead by example in a hands-on role.
Reach Forklift operator certification/licence is required; Counterbalance licence is an advantage.
Full clean driving licence required.

Pay: £35,000.00 per year
