Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Outdoor Teaching Specialist to enrich our outdoor education programmes. This role involves engaging young children in learning activities within natural environments, fostering their curiosity, physical development, and understanding of the world around them. The ideal candidate is a fully trained Level 3 Early Years Educator, along with a keen interest in outdoor learning, Forest Schooling. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners through hands-on outdoor experiences that promote personal development and environmental awareness.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver engaging outdoor learning activities tailored to early years children, encouraging exploration and discovery.
being responsible for key children in our setting
Monitor and ensure the safety of children during outdoor activities, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Incorporate basic anatomy knowledge into lessons to help children understand their bodies and movement (e.g. heartbeat).
Collaborate with colleagues to develop programme content that aligns with our educational standards and organisational goals.
Maintain equipment and outdoor spaces to ensure they are safe, clean, and stimulating for children’s learning experiences.
Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents or guardians as appropriate.
Good knowledge of anatomy relevant to children's physical development.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities that cater to diverse needs.
Passion for outdoor education and child development principles.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a professional attitude.
Relevant qualifications in teaching or child development are essential.
A proactive approach to safety management and safeguarding policies. This role is perfect for individuals committed to nurturing young children's growth through outdoor learning while fostering a love of nature and physical activity.

Pay: £31,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
