Full job description

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in plants and wants to make a career in horticulture.

You will work under our head gardener, maintaining and developing our award winning gardens which are constantly evolving. You will also help with our organic vegetable garden which grows vegetables to serve our restaurant. You will be involved in plant labelling and propagation. This is a varied and interesting job for the right candidate covering all aspects of horticulture.

We have an extensive range of plants and one of the biggest selections in the country so this is a great opportunity for someone wanting to learn! Our well known and award winning gardens have raised over £30,000 for various charities and are open to the public two afternoons per week during the summer.

The apprenticeship will be offered in conjunction with Myerscough college. Rate of pay depends upon age

This is a full time position. Normal hours are 8am-5pm and will include a Sunday on rota basis during the summer

Pay: From £10.00 per hour
