We're looking for an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team, delivering exceptional customer experiences while driving sales performance, profitability, and operational excellence.

The Role

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing sales team, ensuring the delivery of both commercial success and outstanding customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, coaching, motivating, and developing the sales team to achieve individual and departmental targets.
Driving new and used vehicle sales performance while maximising profitability and margin.
Managing departmental performance through effective forecasting, reporting, and stock management.
Ensuring compliance with Volkswagen and Škoda brand standards, FCA regulations, and all relevant UK legislation.
Maintaining operational excellence through robust sales processes and regulatory compliance.
Working closely with the senior management team to identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement.
Delivering an exceptional customer journey that builds long-term loyalty and advocacy.
Creating a positive, high-performance culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous development.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A proven track record in automotive sales management within a franchised dealership.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a successful sales team.
A commercial mindset with experience in achieving sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets.
Excellent organisational, communication, and people management skills.
A thorough understanding of FCA regulations, consumer credit legislation, and dealership sales processes.
Strong IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and dealer management systems.
A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

Previous experience working within the Volkswagen Group (VAG) network would be highly desirable, although applications from experienced Sales Managers with a strong franchise background are welcomed.
