Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Bookkeeper role based in Ruan High Lanes. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including recording daily transactions, preparing and posting journal entries, and reconciling bank and credit card accounts. The role includes supporting the production of management accounts, assisting with financial statements, and ensuring that ledgers are accurate and up to date. Day-to-day activities also involve working with accounting software to process invoices, receipts, payments, and payroll data, as well as monitoring accounts payable and receivable. The Bookkeeper will collaborate closely with accountants and client-facing team members to provide clear, timely financial information and respond to client queries.
Qualifications
- Strong bookkeeping skills, including accurate data entry, ledger maintenance, and reconciliation.
- Experience with accounting software and related digital tools used to manage financial records.
- Ability to support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Knowledge of finance principles and experience preparing and posting journal entries (accounting).
- High attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and a commitment to maintaining data integrity.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-specialists.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple client files, deadlines, and priorities in a structured way.
- Prior experience in a practice or small-business environment and a relevant qualification (e.g., AAT or equivalent) is beneficial.
Skills
- Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
