WMS are seeking to appoint Painters & Decorators to join our Painting team based in Redruth, covering Redruth and the surrounding Cornwall area. This role will involve regular travel therefore a full valid UK driving licence and willingness to drive as part of the role are essential. WMS is a property maintenance and construction company operating throughout the South West, with offices in Bideford, Yeovil, Redruth, and Chudleigh. We carry out contracts for both the public and private sectors across the South West of England.

Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming.
- Apply paints, varnishes, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator is essential.
- Knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and decorating techniques.
- Experience working on various types of surfaces including walls, ceilings, woodwork, and exteriors
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards relevant to the trade.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Valid driving license is preferred.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to painting works.
- Prior experience with construction painting is advantageous.
