Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained at all times. The Chef will play a pivotal role in inspiring the kitchen team and contributing to the overall success of our hospitality establishment.

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service delivery
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Develop new menus and innovative culinary concepts to enhance customer satisfaction
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team environment
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service flow and optimise customer experience
Monitor quality control throughout all stages of food preparation and presentation

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities
Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and food safety standards
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Knowledge of current culinary trends and innovative menu development
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Exceptional communication skills to lead and motivate the team effectively
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
A recognised culinary qualification or equivalent professional training is preferred
