Struans primarily operate car dealerships in Dundee and Perth, with over 40 years experience in the motor trade. We are a local family owned business with a turnover of around £50 million, who are committed to providing a personal service to customers.
Currently we are seeking an enthusiastic professional accountant, eager for a new opportunity and challenge in driving the strategic growth of the business through diversification and investment out with the motor trade. The role will involve working alongside the existing leadership team and overseeing the finance function of the company.
Based at our head office in Perth there is also the possibility of working from our Dundee branch in the future and we are only able to consider applicants currently living within 30 miles of either location.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with the Directors and leadership team, providing financial insight that drives strategic decision making
- Lead forecasting and annual budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic plans
- Lead strategy for business growth out with the motor trade
- Develop financial models to evaluate potential business investment and diversification
- Provide proactive recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency
- Oversee and support finance team in both monthly and annual reporting
- Regularly review and improve financial systems, processes, and reporting tools
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent. (Partly qualified may be considered)
- Experience managing a team
- Commercial mindset
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Excellent communication and confidence working with senior leadership
- Organised, detailed driven, and proactive
- Currently living within 30 miles of Perth or Dundee
