Overview
HighWater are currently recruiting a Water Sampling Officer to join our team of Private Water Supply Specialists. The role will be vital to the delivery of water sampling services, and the successful candidate will join a team of individuals working on a major and exciting infrastructure project currently underway across Scotland. The role will mostly be located remotely, with the majority of time being spent moving between water sampling locations in mostly rural areas and undertaking sampling protocols from sources including springs, streams and lochs. Although the role will involve a lot of driving, the position also calls for a strong administrative skillset, the ability to follow strict sample collection protocols and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with the business’ management and administrative support teams to deliver an ongoing and extensive program of water sampling.
- Conduct sampling protocols in the field with absolute accuracy.
- Complete all required electronic reporting, and all physical paperwork, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure strict project timekeeping, delivering water samples to laboratories for analysis within required time-frames.
- Apply all environmental safeguarding protocols as required, and treat customer property with the utmost of respect.
- Display personal conduct on site, and while driving, which reflects well on HighWater as a business.
- Positively engage with all training requirements of the role.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of water sampling is desirable but not essential (fully accredited training will be professionally delivered).
- Excellent written and numerical skills
- A full UK driving license is essential, preferably without any endorsements.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team.
Pay: £28,000.00 per year
