The Role
We are seeking an experienced, registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Strathallan School. The successful candidate will demonstrate empathy when working with young people and have a broad range of clinical skills. Experience of NHS mental health pathways would be advantageous, but is not essential.
This is a part-time, term-time only role (15 hours per week) on a rota basis:

Monday to Friday: 08:30–17:00

Saturday: 08:00–15:00 (subject to sporting fixtures)
Flexibility, discretion, and strong attention to detail are essential.
The Health Centre
Our purpose-built Health Centre is staffed by a dedicated team of nurses, supported by a Medical Secretary, and offers excellent facilities including a ward, treatment rooms, and consulting spaces. GP clinics are held twice weekly, with ongoing medical support available.
Role Overview
You will deliver high-quality nursing care to pupils and first aid support across the school community, including:

Managing nurse-led clinics and responding to medical needs

Supporting pupil wellbeing, including mental health

Maintaining care plans and medical records

Liaising with parents, staff, and healthcare professionals

Promoting health education and preventative care
-
Ensuring safe management of medication and clinical supplies
Requirements

Registered Nurse (NMC)
-
Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience
-
Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgement
-
Strong communication and organisational skills
