Perthshire Welfare Society is seeking a dedicated Employability Officer to support and empower ethnic minority communities. This role is integral to fostering inclusivity and providing tailored employment support services to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement employability programs aimed at supporting
ethnic minority individuals in securing and maintaining employment.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and support to job seekers, assisting with
CV writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Collaborate with local employers to create job opportunities and
promote diversity in the workplace.
- Organise workshops and training sessions to enhance the skills and
employability of participants.
- Build relationships with community organisations and stakeholders to
facilitate access to resources and support services.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of employability programs and
report on outcomes.
- Write comprehensive reports detailing program progress and
outcomes to be presented to the senior team.
- Be flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to adjust to the needs of
the organization and community.
- May require evening work to accommodate job seekers' schedules.
- Be prepared to support with other duties as required.Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in employability services, community engagement,
or social work.
- Experience working with ethnic minority communities would be an
advantage.
- Experience working within employability settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the barriers faced by ethnic minority
communities in employment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability in using technology and online job search platforms.
- Advantageous to speak another language or languages.

Pay: Up to £29,037.00 per year
