As an IT & Digital Support Assistant, you will help support the day-to-day IT needs of the business and assist with small digital improvement projects.
This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone with a strong interest in technology, a helpful approach and a willingness to learn. You will support colleagues with basic IT queries, help keep equipment and systems organised, and contribute to simple improvements in how the business uses technology.
The role may suit a graduate, college leaver or early-career candidate who has a good technical mindset and wants to develop in a business IT environment.
For the right person, this could be a real opportunity to grow with the role. If the role proves its value and the business need develops, there may be scope for it to increase over time.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day IT Support
- Provide basic first-line support for common IT queries.
- Help with laptops, screens, printers, phones, software access and general user issues.
- Support colleagues with everyday systems such as Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
- Identify when an issue can be resolved directly and when it needs to be escalated.
- Keep a tracker of common issues and actions taken.
Equipment
- Help keep a record of IT equipment, including laptops, screens, phones and other devices.
- Support basic new starter and leaver IT arrangements.
- Assist with checking equipment is working, available and set up correctly.
- Help create simple user guides or checklists where these would be useful.
Digital Projects & Improvements
- Support IT, ERP and digital improvement projects across the business, helping to make systems easier and more effective for colleagues to use.
- Help identify simple ways to improve how systems and tools are used.
- Assist with documenting processes and keeping guidance clear and practical.
- Support colleagues to use digital tools more confidently.
AI Integration
- Help the business explore practical and safe uses of AI and other digital tools.
- Support simple ideas that could save time, improve consistency or make work easier.
- Help share useful tips and guidance with colleagues, in line with company expectations.

Qualifications:
- A qualification in IT, computing, digital technology or a related subject would be helpful but is not essential.
- Previous IT support or customer support experience would be useful but is not essential.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 is desirable.
- An interest in AI, digital tools or process improvement would be beneficial.
- More important than lots of experience is a good technical brain, a helpful attitude and a willingness to learn.
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour

Education:
- Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)
