Full job description

Job Summary

Contract is 17hr a week. Mid Week Shift plus Saturday & Sunday - however weekday flexibility to support cover.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in the role of Kitchen Assistant / Part Time Cook. This position involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for our guests while demonstrating excellent kitchen skills and culinary knowledge.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
Assist in the organisation and maintenance of the kitchen workspace, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene at all times
Follow food safety regulations and procedures to ensure the safety of all food served
Support with meal preparation for various service periods, including breakfast and lunch and tea time.
Supporting the KP Team during busy periods.
Assist with plating and presentation of dishes to meet quality standards
Maintain stock levels, organise storage areas, and notify management of supply needs
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery during busy periods
Serve food to customers in a courteous and professional manner when required

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed

Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
