Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a vital part of the kitchen brigade, the CDP is responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standard. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a designated section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauce, larder, pastry) during service.
- Prepare and cook menu items to specification and in a timely manner.
- Ensure food is presented to the highest quality and consistency.
- Maintain stock control and assist in ordering ingredients when required.
- Adhere to food hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.
- Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new dishes and improve efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior staff or commis chefs in your section.
- Take responsibility for mise en place and readiness of your section.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie
- Solid knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to manage a kitchen section independently and as part of a team.
- High standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food presentation.
- Relevant culinary qualification preferred.
- Food Safety and Hygiene Certification required.
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
