Bosworth’s Garden Centres is a family run business with sites at Burton Latimer (Kettering) and Elton (Peterborough). Catering is a significant part of the business, with over 200 covers, a contribution of over 25% of turnover, cover numbers approaching 15,000 per month and over 50 people employed.
We are looking for a Catering manager to re-invigorate our offering at Elton, with the possibility, for the right candidate, to Co-ordinate the Catering offering across both sites. This role will initially combine the positions of Catering manager and Front of House Manager at Elton.
It will be a ‘Hands On’ role, with expectations to work the Restaurant Floor on alternate weekends, whilst driving the business forward in the week.
The Catering Manager will liaise with both Front of House and Kitchen teams at Elton to ensure high levels of Service, food quality and organisation.
The Catering Manager will report directly to the business owners and play an influential role in developing new menu offerings, expanding business opportunities and improving operational efficiency.
We expect the right candidate to have several years’ experience in the Catering trade, with at least Two of these in a managerial or Supervisory position. The role will be based at Elton, but the ability to travel to Burton Latimer at least Once a fortnight will be necessary.
An understanding of the Casual Dining and Garden Centre Catering sectors, a passion for delivering great food and service, great people skills along with drive and enthusiasm are all essential skills to be able to carry out this role.
You will be required to meet with and negotiate prices and terms from suppliers, whilst ensuring that we source local, quality ingredients where possible.
