Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Duct Fitter to join our team, specialising in the installation, maintenance, and repair of ductwork systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience working with schematics, air conditioning systems, and construction projects. Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and fit ductwork according to project specifications and schematics
- Conduct maintenance and repair of existing duct systems to ensure optimal performance
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately
- Lead small teams during installation or maintenance tasks, providing guidance and supervision
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment repair or system faults
- Collaborate with other trades such as electricians and HVAC technicians to complete projects efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards
- Assist in the training of junior team members when required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Duct Fitter or in a similar role within construction or HVAC environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of air conditioning systems
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively
- Knowledge of construction processes, safety procedures, and industry regulations
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in HVAC or related fields are desirable but not essential
