About Homeland Culinary
Homeland Culinary is a fast-growing UK bakery producing high-quality, culturally authentic bread with consistency, freshness, and care. As we scale production and strengthen our distribution network, we are looking for committed Bakery Operatives to join our expanding team.
The Role
As a Bakery Operative, you will support all aspects of the bakery operation including dough preparation, baking, slicing, packing, dispatch, housekeeping, and stock control. The role is rotational, providing experience across multiple areas of the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with mixing, dividing, moulding, proofing, baking, slicing, and packing.
· Follow approved recipes, portioning standards, and production schedules.
· Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
· Prepare and package finished goods for dispatch.
· Load delivery vehicles safely and confirm correct crate counts.
· Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and HACCP compliance.
· Follow health & safety procedures and correct manual handling practices.
· Maintain clean and organised work areas and complete scheduled cleaning tasks.
· Support FIFO stock rotation and receiving deliveries.
· Help meet daily production targets and reduce waste.
About You
· Previous bakery, food production, or kitchen experience (preferred but not compulsory).
· Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
· Physically fit and comfortable standing for long periods.
· Reliable, punctual, and able to work early or flexible shifts.
· Team-focused with strong attention to detail.
· Willingness to learn and rotate across departments.
· Basic Food Hygiene Certificate desirable (or willingness to obtain).
