About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Vehicle Painter & Prepper to join our busy used car dealership. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles for paintwork and carrying out high-quality refinishing to ensure our stock is presented to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare vehicles and panels for painting, including sanding, masking, filling, and priming.
Mix and apply paint to manufacturer standards.
Carry out smart repairs and full-panel resprays as required.
Polish and finish painted surfaces to a high standard.
Inspect completed work to ensure excellent quality and colour matching.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
Work efficiently to meet dealership preparation deadlines.
Identify and report any additional vehicle damage or defects.

Requirements

Previous experience as a vehicle painter, prepper, or paint technician.
Good knowledge of automotive paint systems and repair techniques.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
