Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning Area Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations within commercial premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cleaning teams, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and maintaining efficient workflow. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in janitorial services and a passion for maintaining hygienic environments in busy commercial settings.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard
Conduct regular inspections of cleaning areas to monitor quality and adherence to health and safety regulations
Allocate tasks and schedules to team members, ensuring coverage during operational hours
Train new staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company policies
Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary
Address any issues or complaints promptly, providing solutions to maintain client satisfaction
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
Prepare reports on team performance, operational challenges, and areas for improvement

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role preferred
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and tasks effectively
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations
Ability to motivate and lead a team, fostering a positive working environment
Attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance
Valid UK driving licence is required
