Job Description
Graham Young Pharmacy in Peterborough is looking for a Pharmacy Counter Assistant/Dispenser to join our friendly and professional team on a 1-year fixed-term contract.

This position is offered as a fixed-term role for 12 months, with the possibility of extension subject to service needs and performance.

We are a busy, modern, clinically focused community pharmacy delivering a wide range of NHS and private services. This role is suitable for someone with previous retail or pharmacy experience, or someone looking to start a career in pharmacy. Full training will be provided.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain recognised pharmacy qualifications and build a long-term career within a supportive and progressive environment.

What You Will Be Doing

Welcoming customers and providing excellent customer service
Assisting with over-the-counter medication sales and healthcare advice (under supervision)
Supporting the dispensing process
Handling prescription collections
Maintaining stock levels and merchandising the shop floor
Promoting pharmacy services such as flu vaccinations, travel services and minor illness support
Ensuring the pharmacy remains clean, organised and professional

Previous retail or customer service experience (preferred but not essential)
Strong communication skills
Good attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and team player
Willingness to undertake training and complete Pharmacy NVQ qualifications
