Breakfast & Afterschool Club Manager
Exciting Opportunity – Outdoor Childcare Setting
We are looking for a passionate, organised and enthusiastic Manager to help lead our new outdoor-based Breakfast & Afterschool Club.
Set within a unique farm and tipi environment, this role is perfect for someone who is passionate about childcare, outdoor learning and creating positive experiences for children and families.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and grow a community-focused setting offering outdoor play, crafts, farm experiences, seasonal activities and a calm, nurturing environment before and after school.
Role: Breakfast & Afterschool Club Manager
Term time hours
Part-time. Approximately 5–30 hours per week depending on applicant suitability and operational requirements.
Typical working hours may include:
- Breakfast Club: 7:00am – 9:00am
- Afterschool Club: 3:00pm – 6:15pm
Some additional hours may be available for;
- Seasonal events
- Planning and administration
- Staff training and meetings
Flexible rota system in place.
Rate of Pay
Depending on experience and qualifications.
Pension and holiday entitlement included.
Main Responsibilities
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the club
- Supporting and supervising staff
- Ensuring a safe, caring and inclusive environment
- Planning engaging activities and outdoor experiences
- Supporting children’s wellbeing and development
- Communicating with parents and carers
- Assisting with staff rotas and daily organisation
- Supporting policies, paperwork and Care Inspectorate requirements
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safeguarding and health & safety
- Supporting snack provision and daily routines
- Helping develop the club as it grows
Administrative support will be available from our admin staff.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children
- Is organised, reliable and approachable
- Enjoys outdoor learning and creative play
- Can confidently lead a small team
- Has strong communication skills
- Is calm and adaptable in a busy environment
- Shares a passion for creating positive childhood experiences
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Childcare, education or relevant qualification
- Experience in a childcare or school setting
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of Care Inspectorate standards
Desirable but not essential:
- First Aid certification
- Food Hygiene certification
Relevant training can be provided where required.
PVG membership/checks will be required prior to employment.
