Full job description

We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and reliable individuals to join our new outdoor-based Breakfast & Afterschool Club team.

Based within our unique farm and tipi setting, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, being outdoors, getting involved in creative activities, and helping provide a safe, welcoming environment for children before and after school.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing community-focused CIC offering outdoor play, farm experiences, crafts, games and a calm, nurturing environment for local families.

Role: Breakfast & Afterschool Club Assistant

Term time hours

Part-time Typical hours may include:

Breakfast Club: 7:00am – 9:00am
Afterschool Club: 3:00pm – 6:15pm

Additional hours may also be available during;

Farm events
Stay & play sessions
Seasonal activities

Flexible rota system in place.

Rate of Pay

Depending on experience and qualifications.

Holiday entitlement and pension options included.

Main Responsibilities

Supporting children in a safe and caring environment
Assisting with breakfast and afternoon snack service
Supervising indoor and outdoor play
Helping run crafts, games and outdoor activities
Encouraging positive behaviour and inclusion
Supporting outdoor learning and farm-based experiences
Assisting with daily set up, tidy up and cleaning routines
Helping maintain high standards of hygiene and safety
Building positive relationships with children, parents and staff

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Is warm, approachable and enthusiastic
Enjoys working with children
Loves the outdoors and hands-on learning
Is reliable and able to work as part of a team
Can remain calm and organised in a busy environment
Has good communication skills
Is flexible and willing to help across different activities

Skills

Experience in childcare, nannying, or teaching is highly desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent communication skills in English
Driving licence preferred to facilitate transportation or outings
Compassionate, patient, and nurturing attitude towards children of all ages
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the childcare setting

Pay: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
