Full job description

We are seeking reliable and professional Security Officers to join our team for a static guarding position. This role is ideal for individuals who are proactive, flexible, and committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment on site.

Key Responsibilities:

Control and monitor access to the site, checking personnel and visitors in and out.
Maintain accurate daily records, logs, and incident reports.
Conduct regular site patrols to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
Provide a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorised access.
Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, or suspicious activity.
Ensure all site procedures and health & safety regulations are followed.
Liaise effectively with site management, staff, and visitors.

Shift Pattern:

Weekly rotating shift pattern of 2 day shifts and 2 night shifts.
12-hour shifts.

Requirements:

Valid SIA Licence (Security Guard or Door Supervisor).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle situations professionally.
Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours.
Previous security or site guarding experience preferred but not essential.
Own transport would be advantageous due to the site location, although the site is accessible by public transport with a short walk from the nearest bus stop.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: From £12.80 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Peterhead AB42: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Security: 1 year (required)

English (required)

Licence/Certification:

SIA Licence (required)
