TEAM MEMBER — Job Description
Reports to: Shop Manager, Assistant Manager & Supervisor
Location: 48 Pilgrim Street, Newcastle, NE1 6SF
Purpose of the Role
Team Members are the heartbeat of Pablo Eggs-Go-Bao. They prepare great food, make great coffee, deliver great service, and keep the shop running to a high standard. Everyone learns and does everything; cooking, serving, cleaning, prepping, and customers- focusing on quality, safety, and good vibes.
What You’ll Do
Food & Drink
- Prepare and serve menu items to Pablo’s quality and portion standards.
- Prepare the items on the menu to recipes and specs.
- Handle prep safely and correctly (measuring, labelling, storing).
- Make hot drinks and coffee following training and brand standards.
Customer Experience
- Be friendly, confident, and natural- no forced or “fake” service.
- Greet customers, take orders, explain menu items clearly, and serve food/drinks quickly.
- Handle questions, allergies, and complaints professionally.
- Keep a fun, upbeat energy on shift- Pablo’s culture is casual but sharp.
Cleanliness & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace at all times (no mess, no shortcuts).
- Keep surfaces, equipment, fridges, and utensils spotless.
- Follow all food safety, allergen, hygiene rules.
- Complete daily/weekly cleaning tasks and HACCP/logbook checklists accurately.
- Wash hands regularly and always use gloves when required.
Teamwork
- Jump between stations where needed (grill, pass, till, floor, prep, coffee).
- Help teammates.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully during busy service and prep.
- Support new starters and contribute to a positive culture.

Essential Requirements
- Can work weekends and peak periods.
- Can lift and move boxes of stock (within reasonable limits).
- Maintain high hygiene standards and follow instructions.
- Willing to learn coffee, cooking, customer service, and systems.

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
