Purpose of the Job:
The purpose of this role is to; oversee all football activities provided by the Russell Martin Foundation (RMF); develop capital projects associated with football and other practical activities; work alongside other executive members to support the strategic direction RMF. The role also requires the growth and support of other initiatives, projects and services across the Foundation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership
- To oversee, manage and support the Head of the Russell Martin Academy (RMA)
- Support the SMT in delivering projects and operational objectives.
- Act as the representative of RMF in meetings with partners, stakeholders and external agencies.
- Be a team player within the RMF, to ensure cross-department support and advocacy.
Strategy
· To help set the RMF strategy and to develop and deliver RMF's long-term goals and to drive the growth and expansion of RMF and its programmes.
· To plan, budget and create new initiatives to support the growth of RMA
· To contribute to the annual the business plan and ensure that it is developed, approved and implemented to set RMF’s strategic direction
· Identify and grow relationships and opportunities within the footballing sector
Facility Development
· To help identify sites where RMF may be able to facility manage
· Work with the CEO to oversee the setting up of the Old Barn Way facility so that it can be used by RMA and local partners
· To oversee the successful running of Hove Park
· To line manager the RMF Head of Facility Maintenance
Income generation
· Liaise with the COO to identify funding to support low income families
· To support the Head of RMA to oversee tournaments, festivals, overseas tours that generate income via membership and commercial sponsorship
· To work with the Head of RMA in identifying and submitting relevant ideas and projects
· Represent the RMF to principal stakeholders.
· To ensure that the RMF is maximizing fundraising opportunities.

Programme delivery
- Ensure the quality of provision of all football programmes is of the highest standard.
- To work with the Head of RMA to ensure compliance with RMF's policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper monitoring and evaluation of programmes is carried out.
Staff Management
- Line manage the Manager of RMA by setting and ensuring progress towards achieving KPIs for direct reports.
- Conduct an annual appraisal and quarterly meetings for the Head of RMA
- Support and ensure budgets are managed and on target by the Head of RMA

Full understanding and experience of football and sports development programmes

Full understanding of inclusion-based programmes, including those related to disability, gender and cultural minorities

Extensive experience of management, including staff and programmes

Experience of managing and reporting on budgets

Full understanding of how to develop a facility that can be used for practical activities, particularly football
E
Ability to and experience of operating to a high standard in a fast moving and dynamic environment

Excellent communication skills

Understanding and in date certification/training of safeguarding and welfare policies

Suitable appearance and manner that aligns with the ethos of the charity

UEFA B Certification or above

Good relations and contacts within the football industry and local schools

Pay: £40,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
