Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing precise welding and fabrication tasks, primarily using TIG welding techniques, to produce high-quality components and assemblies. Duties
- Execute MIG and TIG welding on various materials, specialising in welding techniques.
- Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform basic measurements and calculations to ensure proper fit and alignment of parts.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or sub-assemblies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Conduct quality inspections on completed welds and fabricated parts to meet company standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in TIG welding with experience in welding techniques.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes involving sheet metal and other materials.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Good mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
- Experience with assembly processes and working with various fastening methods.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail to ensure precision in all aspects of welding and fabrication tasks.
This position is paid accordingly for all applicants, including internship candidates, ensuring fair remuneration for your skills and effort.
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
