Are you customer focussed, have a passion for working with people, an interest in library services and communities, and are you tech savvy?
As a Library Assistant, you will support the delivery of library and information services working alongside and supporting volunteers to ensure a high-quality service, support the delivery of activities and events, assist customers to access online information and resources, and encourage use by a wide range of customers.
As a busy library in a town centre location, you may face challenging situations in your day-to-day work. You will be passionate about books and reading, have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with a range of partners including volunteers, the ability to deliver a customer focussed service, willing to help run events and activities including for children and families, and have literacy and numeracy qualifications equivalent to Level 2. Please indicate on your application the number of weekly hours you would be interested in, dependent upon the needs of the service flexibility in terms of days and work location may be required
