Dunnington Motor Care is a well-established, family-run garage located just 4 miles east of York city centre, conveniently situated on the A1079 between York and Hull and situated directly off the A64 Grimston Bar Roundabout.
With an excellent reputation for quality workmanship and customer service, we provide servicing, repairs, diagnostics and MOT testing for all makes and models of cars and light commercial vehicles. Our workshop regularly sees a diverse range of vehicles, from everyday family cars and vans to cherished classics, vintage vehicles and high-end performance cars.
Using the latest diagnostic equipment and workshop technology, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and repair.
The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Level 3 Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our friendly and professional team.
This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to work on a wide range of vehicles while developing your technical skills within a busy, well-equipped workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs
- MOT testing (if qualified)
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Brake, suspension, steering and exhaust repairs
- Engine and mechanical repairs
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer care
- Communicating findings and repair recommendations clearly and professionally
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent experience)
- MOT Tester licence (preferred but not essential)
- Minimum of 3 years’ workshop experience
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience working across a variety of vehicle makes and models
- A full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A positive, professional and team-oriented attitude
Experience within a main dealership environment or diagnosing complex vehicle systems would be advantageous.
