Job Overview:
We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, confident, happy & professional person with a love for hospitality to join our lovely team as an experienced Sommelier/Front of House Supervisor with knowledge and understanding of wines, and be an integral part of creating an exceptional wine and food experience for our guests, in our beuatiful wine bar in the heart of York.
Responsibilities:
- Wine advice & engagement with customers
- Key holder & shift supervisor
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- Provide recommendations on menu items
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
- Uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene practices
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver exceptional service
- Cashing up and providing end of day reports
Experience:
- At least two years' prior experience in a relevent hospitality or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of wine, preferably with WSET Level 2 or higher
- Strong guest service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and engagement
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment within the kitchen and wine bar setting
