Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Bricklayers Labourer to assist with masonry and construction projects. The successful candidate will support skilled bricklayers and masons by preparing materials, handling tools, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment. Responsibilities
- Assisting bricklayers and masons with preparing mortar, bricks, and other materials for laying
- Handling hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and chisels to support masonry work
- Operating power tools safely under supervision for cutting or shaping materials
- Supporting carpentry tasks related to scaffolding or formwork when required
- Assisting with roofing tasks by passing tools or materials as needed
- Supporting welding activities on-site, including handling equipment and safety gear
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area to ensure safety standards are met
- Moving materials around the site using appropriate manual handling techniques
- Ensuring all safety protocols are followed during daily operations
Experience
- Previous experience with hand tools, power tools, or masonry work is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Basic understanding of bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, or welding is desirable
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake on-the-job training in various trades
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy construction environment
- Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour throughout the day
