The QEH Dermatology department is a busy but friendly and supportive environment. The team are dedicated to providing the highest standards of patient care. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of 5 substantive Consultants within the Dermatology service, as well as 3 Fellows, General Practitioners with Extended Roles (GPWERs), Clinical Nurse Specialists as well as a developed admin team.
- Provide high quality Dermatology care in out-patient clinics for adult and paediatric dermatology patients and perform high quality surgery within the appropriate level of competence.
- Participate in the Skin Cancer MDT
- Attend required CPD events regularly and the annual Cancer Peer Review meeting.
- Perform regular ward rounds with residents. There is no out of hours on call commitment but the Dermatology team are closely involved in the care of in-patients between 9-5pm.
- Provide tele dermatology review for the relevant referrals.
- Provide high quality support and teaching to GP colleagues in hospital and community.
- Provide leadership to the department, encouraging development of services with colleagues both in and outside the trust.

- The post holder must be medically qualified (MRCP UK level or equivalent), and maintain GMC specialist registration and hold a licence to practice.
- To develop and maintain the competencies required to carry out the duties required of the post.
- To ensure prompt attendance at agreed direct clinical care Programmed Activities.
- To ensure patients are involved in decisions about their care and to respond to their views.
- To attend relevant CPD meetings and keep an appropriate diary demonstrating the required number of annual credits have been achieved.
