Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Associate Endodontist and/or Periodontist (specialist or well experienced special interest associate DwSI) to join our dynamic dental team. We are based in heart of Upminster and we are well established dental practice operating for over 20 years. This position is ideal for 1 or 2 candidates and available for Thursdays, although we are open for discussions to accommodate alternative days.
An an endodontist, you will specialize in diagnosing and treating complex root canal issues, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating closely with general dentists. Your expertise in endodontics will help restore dental health and alleviate pain for our diverse patient community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize advanced endodontic techniques within a supportive environment dedicated to excellence in dental care.
As a periodontist, you will have an exceptional opportunity to help patients achieve optimal oral health, diagnose, prevent and treat periodontal diseases and conditions. Collaborate closely with general dentists and develop personalized non surgical treatment plans for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform root canal therapy and other endodontic procedures with precision and care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients on periodontal health, treatment options and preventive care.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging
- Collaborate with general dentists to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records and document procedures in compliance with GDC standards
- Educate patients on their diagnoses, treatment options, post-procedure care, and oral health maintenance strategies
- Adhere to infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination during procedures
- Utilize dental software such as SOE for scheduling, documentation, and treatment planning
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of endodontics including root canal therapy, dental anatomy, and dental fabrication techniques
- Extensive knowledge of periodontal procedures, scaling and root planning and non surgical procedures
- Proficiency in using digital medical imaging equipment for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical records management
- Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques within a clinical setting
