Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Panel Beater to join a busy and growing accident repair centre based in Luton.
The bodyshop is a family-run, medium-sized repair centre with an established reputation for quality workmanship and customer service. The business is currently going through an exciting period of growth, with plans to expand its operations and develop its team further.
The workshop is BSI accredited and insurance approved, carrying out accident repairs for insurance, fleet, trade and private customers. The team handles everything from minor cosmetic repairs through to more complex accident and structural repairs, with a strong focus on quality, safety and manufacturer-approved repair methods.
The Role
As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing accident-damaged vehicles and ensuring every vehicle leaves the bodyshop to a high standard.
You will work as part of a close-knit team alongside MET Technicians, Paint Technicians and other experienced bodyshop professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Repairing and replacing damaged vehicle panels
- Carrying out panel beating, straightening and reshaping
- Assessing damage and determining the appropriate repair method
- Removing and refitting damaged body panels and components
- Carrying out panel alignment and ensuring correct panel gaps
- Welding and fabrication where required
- Working with a wide range of vehicle makes and models
- Carrying out repairs in line with manufacturer-approved procedures
- Ensuring all repairs meet BSI and industry quality standards
- Working efficiently to meet repair timescales and productivity targets
- Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Working closely with the wider bodyshop team throughout the repair process
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

This would suit a Panel Beater who enjoys working in a hands-on, friendly environment where they can become an important part of a growing business rather than simply being another number within a large corporate operation.
