Job Title: Rehabilitation Assistant

London and the Home Counties

Working Pattern: Combination of in person and remote support.
Contract: Part-time (20 hours) with the possibility to increase hours in the future

£28,000 - £32,000 per year pro rata.

Our specialist Rehab Assistants provide high-quality support both in-person and remotely, ensuring that our clients receive the best care tailored to their specific needs.

· Our Rehab Assistants are highly experienced and skilled in offering support face-to-face and remotely.

· Clients can access remote rehab support through telephone, WhatsApp, email, and video call during regular office hours.

The Role:
As a Rehab Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting clients in a variety of ways, including:

Implementing therapy programs prescribed by the client's therapist, such as exercises, meal preparation, and fatigue management.
Scheduling and diary management.
Providing remote support for tasks such as organizing appointments, completing forms, and sourcing tradespeople.
Assisting with MDT support, such as arranging meetings and preparing for therapy sessions.
Supporting case management activities, including property searches and research tasks.

Your role will be split between both in person rehabilitation support and home based, remote support. The majority of work will be in the client's home and local community.

What We Offer:

You’ll have the opportunity to work with specialist case managers and therapists who can support to develop your skills in complex rehabilitation, whilst maintaining your role as a key member of the multidisciplinary team.

We offer mandatory training and specialist training programmes and full insurance.

Qualifications

Healthcare related Degree, NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or minimum two years’ experience in rehabilitation.

What We Don’t Do

Please note that our Rehab Assistants do not provide support with personal care, toileting, or feeding.

A genuine desire to help others and the ability to understand and respond to clients’ needs in a sensitive and supportive way.

2. Strong Communication Skills

The ability to clearly communicate with clients, therapists, and other team members, both in-person and remotely (via phone, video calls, etc.).

3. Flexibility and Adaptability

Comfort with changing schedules and the ability to adapt to different clients' needs, including varying levels of support (in-person vs. remote).

4. Organisational Skills

Ability to manage schedules, appointments, and diaries effectively while ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.

5. Attention to Detail

Being meticulous with tasks such as implementing therapy programs, completing forms, and managing client information, ensuring nothing is missed.

6. Problem-Solving Skills

Ability to think critically and offer solutions, such as helping to organise appointments or sourcing necessary resources for clients.

7. Professionalism

A professional approach to work, maintaining appropriate boundaries, and respecting confidentiality and privacy at all times.

8. Patience and Resilience

Working in rehabilitation can be challenging, so having patience and the ability to cope with setbacks is important.

9. Team Player

Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, case managers, and other professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT).

10. Self-Motivation and Initiative

Comfort with working independently, especially when remote support is required, and the initiative to carry out tasks without constant supervision.

11. Tech-Savviness

Comfort with using technology for remote support (e.g., video calls, emails, WhatsApp) and other necessary digital tools (e.g., scheduling software).

You must have experience working as a rehabilitation assistant or support worker to apply for this role. You will ideally have experience working with people with traumatic brain injuries.
