Role Summary: We are looking for an organised Admin and Finance Officer to join our team on a part-time basis for 5 to 10 hours per week. This role offers high flexibility and is ideal for someone returning to the working environment after a career break.You will focus on daily data tasks, accurate record-keeping, and providing vital support to our accounting team. If you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy bringing order to a workplace, we want to hear from you. For the right candidate, there are genuine opportunities to progress to more hours and develop a long-term career in finance after 6 months.Key Financial Responsibilities
- Data Entry: Input financial information accurately into our systems.
- Reconciliation: Match and reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure total accuracy.
- Verification: Double-check financial documents and verify information to spot any errors.
- Accountant Support: Assist the main accountant with daily workloads and administrative financial tasks.
- Invoices & Payments: Process client invoices, track incoming funds, and pay suppliers accurately.
Key Administrative Responsibilities
- Precise Records: Maintain highly accurate, organised physical and digital filing systems.
- Office Coordination: Keep the workspace running efficiently by ordering supplies and managing post.
- Communication: Serve as the friendly point of contact for emails, phone calls, and visitors.
- Team Support: Assist with general paperwork, scheduling, and basic meeting prep.
Skills & Qualifications
- IT Literate: Confident using computers, standard office software, and adapting to digital tools.
- Detail-Oriented: A naturally keen eye for detail with a strong focus on accuracy and verification.
- Adaptable: Highly organised and confident managing your own daily tasks.
- Communication: Excellent written and spoken communication skills, matching our high standards of customer service.
- Returning to Work: Previous office or administrative experience is required, but we happily welcome and support those returning to the workforce.
