We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and commercially minded Logistics Co-ordinator to join our team at our Plympton depot.
The Role
This is a fast-paced and varied role at the centre of our operation. You’ll work closely with our customers, drivers, logistics partners, and colleagues to ensure deliveries are planned, communicated, and complete to the highest standard.
No two days are the same. One moment you may be co-ordinating a scheduled medical delivery a week in advance, and the next organising the urgent delivery of a component for a grounded aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinating scheduled and urgent same-day deliveries
- Working directly with customers to understand and manage delivery requirements
- Liaising with drivers and third-party logistics partners
- Providing real-time delivery updates and status information
- Preparing quotations and responding to customer enquiries
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the business
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships with new and existing customers
- Supporting the Business Development and Sales team by identifying and sharing potential customer opportunities, new contacts, and lead information
- Maintaining accurate customer and prospect information to support business growth
- Identifying opportunities to secure backloads and return work where viable to maximise vehicle utilisation and operational efficiency by reducing empty mileage
- Ensuring excellent service standards are maintained at all times
What We're Looking For (Essential)
- A minimum of 1 years' experience within a commercial logistics, transport, buyer, sales, or similar operational role
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Commercial awareness and sound decision-making skills
- Confidence working independently and as part of a wider team
- A positive, proactive, and professional attitude

No specific academic qualifications are required. We value attitude, professionalism, reliability, and a willingness to learn above all else.
