Job Summary
We are seeking someone to work at our advanced fabrication facility, delivering projects from initial CAD design to manufacturing, supplying premium workshop solutions for top manufacturers of luxury and sports car, motorbikes and motorsport teams. Services include CNC panel bending , laser cutting, powder coating and assembly.
The role of the Machine Setter / Operator requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual who will set and operate a variety of machines used in sheet metal fabrication, including laser cutting, panel bending, press brakes, and punch presses, to produce high quality components according to production specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain various sheet metal fabrication machines and be responsible for achieving required volume of work.
- Set up and adjust machines according to job specifications and instructions.
- Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure parts meet tolerances and specifications.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on machines, such as cleaning and lubricating.
- Report any machine malfunctions or issues to the supervisor for resolution.
- Complete production records as required.
- Identification and control of defects.
- Close and cohesive interaction with the manufacturing team.
- Continually seek to improve Quality, Performance and Efficiency.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a machine setter / operator preferably in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
- Experience with laser cutting, press brakes, or similar sheet metal machines is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders.
- Familiarity with metal cutting techniques and tolerances.
- Knowledge of machine set up, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to machine setup.
- "Can Do" attitude and will ensure tasks are completed, whatever is required.
- Work completed to the required quality, with a strong attention to detail.
- Good team player.

- Ability to establish priorities and work independently.
- Able to communicate effectively and concisely at all levels.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Forklift license would be desirable.

Pay: £12.71-£14.79 per hour
