The Business Intelligence Hub is looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic individual to develop and maintain City of York Council’s comprehensive performance management framework.
About the team:
The team works with every department in the City of York Council to ensure statutory data returns are submitted in a timely and accurate manner. The team is also responsible for advising colleagues on the best way to interpret and use data.
About the role:
Working with the Senior Information Architect and other managers across the Business Intelligence Team the post-holder will:

Design and deliver PowerBI dashboards and associated technical solutions across Business Intelligence current product suites to inform strategic priorities of the Council. This will include, but not exclusively, those systems used within Social Care and Building Services front-line services.
- Evaluate a range of existing business processes and system for suitability of being incorporated into the Business Intelligence Hub data environments, which in turn will better develop and integrate data for use across the hub and to inform organisational change and/or improved performance.
- Knowledge of business practices across as Social Care and/or Building Services is desirable.

The post holder will be working in a fast-paced team that deals with a range of information linked to residents of York, children, vulnerable adults and economic growth.
Due to the nature of the role, high levels of confidentiality will be expected at all times.
This role will require regular attendance at our offices in York. Initially office-based in York, switching to Hybrid after 6 months.
This role is suitable as a job share opportunity.
Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
