We are looking for a passionate and nurturing SENCO to join our brand-new outdoor early years provision and help create an inclusive environment where all children can flourish through nature-based learning.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to support children aged 3-5 within a small, child-led Forest School environment. Working alongside our Forest School team, you will:
- Support inclusive practice across the provision
- Identify and support children with additional needs
- Build positive relationships with families and outside professionals
- Create and review SEN Support Plans and targeted strategies
- Support staff with SEND knowledge, training, and guidance
- Help ensure the setting meets EYFS and SEND Code of Practice requirements
- Promote emotional wellbeing, communication, confidence, and independence through outdoor learning experiences
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds relevant early years qualifications
- Has previous SENCO experience within Early Years or Primary
- Is passionate about inclusive education and child development
- Has strong knowledge of the EYFS and SEND Code of Practice
- Is calm, compassionate, and proactive
- Enjoys working outdoors in all seasons
- Values child-led learning, curiosity, and connection with nature
