Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy culinary establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and coordinating meal preparation to meet high-quality standards. The Kitchen Manager will play a vital role in maintaining efficient kitchen workflows, fostering a positive team environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent food service.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and quality.
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients in accordance with health guidelines.
Develop menus in collaboration with the culinary team, incorporating catering requirements as needed.
Ensure all dishes are prepared efficiently and served promptly to meet customer expectations.
Monitor cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment to uphold safety standards.
Assist in training staff on cooking techniques, food safety procedures, and serving protocols.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods.

Qualifications

Proven experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant management roles with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations.
Extensive culinary experience with knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety regulations.
Previous experience managing a team within a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices for hygiene management.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and suppliers.
A passion for delivering high-quality meals and exceptional customer service.
