Fitness Instructor – Adult Social Care (Self-Employed)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate fitness professional to join our growing team and deliver engaging exercise sessions to older adults and individuals living with a range of health conditions and disabilties.

This is a rewarding opportunity to use your fitness knowledge to make a difference to people's health, mobility, confidence and overall wellbeing.

About the Role

You will deliver enjoyable, inclusive exercise sessions, including chair-based exercise, to residents in care homes and supported living services throughout Brighton and the surrounding areas.

The role offers flexible working, with sessions typically taking place between 10:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, allowing you to build work around your existing commitments where appropriate.

We are looking for someone who is:

Reliable – someone our care home partners can depend upon and build lasting relationships with.
Motivated – passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of others.
Confident – comfortable leading group exercise sessions and adapting your communication to meet the needs of vulnerable adults.
Compassionate and Empathetic – able to create a welcoming, encouraging environment for people living in care.

Essential requirements for application:

Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification (or equivalent).
Full UK driving licence.
Access to a reliable vehicle.

Before delivering sessions you will also need:

A recognised specialist fitness qualification relevant to adult social care, such as Chair Based Exercise for Adult Social Care.
An enhanced DBS/PVG/AccessNI certificate.
Appropriate professional insurance.
