Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. This role involves accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a pharmacy technician and a strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality. This position offers an opportunity to work within a professional environment dedicated to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and labelling medications for patient distribution
Provide medication administration support under supervision, ensuring correct dosage and timing
Offer compassionate patient care by answering queries, providing medication information, and ensuring understanding of instructions
Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications and update patient profiles as required
Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety regulations at all times
Support inventory management by stock checking, ordering supplies, and organising storage areas
Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards in all aspects of work

Qualifications

Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser is highly desirable
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Professional registration or certification as required by local regulations (if applicable)
