Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Roofer / Carpenter to join our construction team. This role involves working on various roofing and carpentry projects, requiring a strong understanding of construction techniques and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing, carpentry, and general construction, with the ability to interpret schematics and operate a range of hand and power tools. Duties

Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently
Perform carpentry tasks including framing, fitting, and finishing work as required
Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate project progress
Assist with plumbing, masonry, or other related tasks as needed for comprehensive project completion
Follow safety protocols diligently to minimise hazards on-site
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of quality workmanship
Maintain organisation of tools and materials on-site for efficiency

Experience

Proven experience in roofing, carpentry, or general construction work is essential
Familiarity with schematics, welding techniques, and fabrication processes is highly desirable
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for various construction tasks
Experience working with plumbing or masonry is advantageous but not mandatory
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively at heights or in confined spaces
Prior exposure to working on large-scale construction sites with strict safety standards
