Job Overview

FIXED SHIFT 10:00-19:00

We are seeking a skilled FLT Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklift trucks to handle materials efficiently and safely within a busy warehouse environment. This role requires a reliable individual with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols, committed to maintaining smooth logistics and inventory management.

Duties

Operate forklift trucks to load and unload goods, ensuring accurate placement and retrieval of materials
Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying goods against documentation
Handle materials using appropriate equipment, adhering to safety standards
Maintain organisation of stock within the warehouse, ensuring items are stored correctly
Perform basic repairs and maintenance on forklift equipment as needed
Utilise Warehouse Management System (WMS) software to track inventory movements
Conduct routine safety checks on equipment before use
Support with general warehouse tasks such as organising storage areas and preparing goods for dispatch

Skills

Valid forklift licence with proven experience in operating forklift trucks in a warehouse setting
Good mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software
Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and safety regulations
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for stock counts and measurements
Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the shift
Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations within a warehouse environment
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks
