About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils across a range of learning activities both within school and in the wider community.
You will:
- Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Help pupils access learning and achieve their individual goals
- Encourage independence, confidence and communication skills
- Support pupils' academic, social, emotional and physical development
- Assist with therapeutic and educational programmes
- Help create a calm, caring and positive learning environment
- Supervise and support pupils during lessons, lunchtimes and outdoor activities
- Contribute to community-based learning experiences
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and families to support pupil progress
