Full job description

County Foods, a successful supplier of fresh meat products, delicatessen, dry goods and frozen foods to over 500 customers, are currently recruiting an experienced Delivery Driver to join our busy team.

You will be required to deliver a range of fresh and frozen produce to various establishments. (Approx. 20-30 drops per day)

Working Hours:

We have various opportunities available to work on either a Zero-hour, part-time or permanent full time basis.

Full Time roles are worked over 5 days (37.5 hours 5:30am/6:30 a.m. to 1:30pm/2:30 p.m.) Monday to Saturday with 1 allocated day off midweek (not Saturday). We also have opportunities to work 6 days per week if preferred.

As a representative of the Company who visits our customers, we require drivers who understand the importance of customer service. A good local knowledge of roads within a 50 mile radius of Poole plus previous experience of providing exceptional customer service is essential.

Additionally, the role involves:

- Accurately checking delivery/advice notes, reporting any anomalies

- Accurately completing paperwork

- Loading & unloading vehicles as required, lifting and carrying heavy weights (max. 20kg)

- Maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles both inside and out

The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of multi-drop delivering, ideally in the food industry

- A good local knowledge of roads within a 50 mile radius of Poole

- Good customer service skills

- A clean driving licence

- A good level of both written and spoken English

- The ability to build professional relationships with customers

- Be well presented
