Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. The Chef de Partie will work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to maintain the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauce stations
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
- Assist in menu planning and development alongside senior chefs
- Monitor stock levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your designated section
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff and apprentices where applicable
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Implement quality control measures to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellence
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience working with diverse cuisines is advantageous but not essential
- Previous experience serving or working directly with customers is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
